Hill Country Roads: A Cornucopia of Wildflowers
Reply Quote

Now is the time to journey down some of your favorite Hill Country roads in search of May-June wildflowers.

This weekend, I journeyed down a few of my favorite Hill Country roads and found a couple of new ones.

In one day, I was able to add 4 new wildflower species to my collection of wildflower photographs, as well as add new views of some favorite, but not as common wildflowers.

Here are two of the new wildflower photos I have collected:

Lady Bird's Centaury

Frog Fruit

Both of these were photographed along Allen Road in Kendall, County.

Other favorite Hill Country roads of mine include:

Old #9, Kendall County (see also: Backroads of Kendall County )

Cypress Creek Road, Kendall County (see: On the Road to Kerrville )

RR 337 from Leakey to Vanderpool (see photo: http://www.pbase.com/richo/image/29636027 )
