I know they aren't flowers, But I just love taking pictures of mushrooms. We've had a decent rain here last week, now the mushrooms are really growin fast. they don't last long, but neat subject for photos I think.

Very nicely done!  What camera and lens are you using?  When you stop and take a closer look, you find there are many interesting subjects in nature. The fungi of the world seem alien to us, but I have seen some very "alien" looking insects crawling on wildflowers.

Note: Moved to "Wildflower and Nature Photography" forum from "East Texas" forum.

My camera is a Fuji S-3100 4.0 megapixels. I've had it for about a year and a half. In general I like it, but there are things that it just won't do bein a  Point and Shoot digital.

I agree, I've seen some pretty ugly bugs crawlin around on flowers too LOL

Well, you have done a very good job with the photographs you have taken with the camera. I have owned three digital cameras now...Olympus C2100UZ (2MP), Sony 717 (5MP) and Canon 10D (6.3MP). Each one had its own particular issues that had to be learned and often overcome through "tricks" of the trade.

The lighting in your photos was very good and so was the focus.

Thanks for the comments. The lighting is 9/10am or so, but the sunlight shines thru the pines in spots, so it kinda gives it the affect of bein early morning or late evening. Least that's what it looks like to me.
