Bluebonnet fields near Simmons

I got a phone report of bluebonnet fields near Simmons, Texas (Ten Miles southwest of Three Rivers, 84 miles south of San Antonio) along FM-1042.

Simmons is very close to Choke Canyon State Park which is a great spot for birding enthusiasts (see http://www.threeriverstx.org/birding.htm). You can also get some good close shots on a variety of wildflowers in the Calliham Unit of Choke Canyon State Park.

If you live near Three Rivers or George West then it might be worth the time to check out the fields near Simmons.

Note: This is a phone report and I have not visited this particular spot.
