I was going to go this year, but thought it would not be a good year. Big Bend as well as the rest of the southwest US has been exceedingly dry since the fall.  Reports from visitors during spring break say that there were very few wildflowers.  About the only thing that will bloom in any numbers will be the cacti.  They don't rely as much on consistent rainfall.
