Our first non-rain day in weeks :D

I took a short trip up to Brenham this morning and was pleased to see lots of blanket flowers along US290 along with some low growing (almost electric) purple flowers. The grasses in the ditches are all yellow from too much water. Along FM1155 near Dillard Road I found a colorful bunch of day flowers and petunias

and a nice field of phlox and petunias

It was overcast and still most of the morning (idea for flower closeups) so I stopped by the Antique Rose Emporium and filled up a couple one gig cards ;) As I type this the sun is out! Maybe we can all dry out a little now?

Flowers will brighten your day whether mild or wild, Murry!

Thanks for the report Murry, nice work on the photos.  It has been raining off and on all this past week, but we are supposed to get a bit of sunshine Sunday.
