Our granddaughter was playing lacrosse at St. Mary's University this week so we got down to a game. So I just wanted to let you know that the median and roadsides between Schulenburg and Flatonia are pretty green and there are bluebonnets blooming quite nicely in the median.

The surrounding fields looked much drier but not as bad as when we got to S.A. Since this was just a quick drive by we didn't stop and I didn't get any photos but I'd rank this area along US290 about the same as my earlier report on the Industry area--just fair. So far Brenham looks to be in the best shape out this way. Think RAIN!!

Flowers will brighten your day whether mild or wild, Murry!

Thanks for the report Murry.

I have been looking at the rainfall maps and it looks like the are between Schulenburg and Industry has received less rain in the past 60 days than the Brenham area.

However, that area received a bit more rain in the fall than the Brenham area. So it is possible there are bluebonnet rosettes still too small to see from the road. With some rain and warmer temps at night the Schulenbery - Industry might be able to catch up.

So...I agree...think, pray, dance for rain!
