This is a shot that shows my wildflower haven is pretty small and I have lined it with rocks to keep the yard guys from pulling my pretty weeds Surprise [:O]  As the the scarlet phlox fade a little the scarlet clover seems to be coming on strong with the last two days of really warm and humid eather: http://www.pbase.com/image/41480102.jpg

Once I get them started in the fall (keep them moist for about a week) they are on their own.  Three years running I've have a different and very nice crop of wildflowers.

The same story I hear from others. A home in northeast San Antonio is covered in the front and back with gardens of wildflowers. Throughout most of the year there is always some color in their yard. One wildflower species blooms, dies and another replaces it until the final ones die out in late December.  Then in February it all starts again.  They do very little, except from time to time moving plants around for fun and planting new wildflowers.
