Naturally a plant does not respect the boundaries of states. :)
It depends on the variety of bluebonnet. There are two bluebonnet varieties that have entered Texas and thus become one of the six varieties that are now called the state flower of Texas.
The variety named, lupinus texensis, is by name the Texas Bluebonnet. It is most likely the one that has entered into eastern Oklahoma.
That part of Oklahoma and northeatern Texas got a fair amount of rain at the correct times.
Given the way the cold front have lined up this winter, it is no surprise to me that that area is just now beginning to bloom.
