I've added a few more wildflower pictures to the end of my photo album. The last seven are from Plano. I saw this to and from work each day until they mowed the field this week.

Thanks for the update...very nice photos...looks like you got a few good views before they mowed them down.

It really saddens me to hear that they are mowing down wildflowers along the highway before they go to seed. This is just plain wrong in so many ways...not the least of which is the cost. It cost money to seed the highways and not allowing the wildflowers to seed is paying for the seeding twice. And now there is less seed being put down due to the economy...yet we are paying for the mowers????

Those pictures are actually from a privately owned field. I guess they decided how to mow since it's "in town". It was the same last year, looked like that until they mowed. There are some places close to my apt beside the highways where it's been mowed instead of letting the wildflowers grow this year. That's really bothered me. It would have been beautiful in April and May except for all the mowing.
