It's the underside of a mushroom that was growing in my front yard last spring.  What you see are called the gills of the mushroom. Nikon D100, Nikon 60mm f/2.8 micro.  Natural lighting. I like to photograph mushrooms.  They're unique creatures. http://www.tomchilders.com/images/misc/Mushrooms.jpg Taken at the Botanic Gardens in Ft Worth in about 1969 with a Canon Ft-QL, 55mm f/1.2.  Printed on Agfa Brovira paper.  The web site image was scanned last year from the 35 year old negative (Kodak Panatomic X pushed to 100 ASA). Still have the lens, but the camera body was replaced with an F1, which still works great. Otis Mukinfus    Report
