I'm also seeing that the beauty berries are changing from near white/pink to the familiar bright purple.  The birds seem to enjoy these and the yupon berries that are so abundant here in The Woodlands, Texas (just north of Houston on I45).  I shot this bunch in my side yard that has been left wild: http://www.pbase.com/photomurage/image/47316066.jpg
