Enjoyed the article, but the add a comment button did not work. Was that intentional?

I was also wondering where in the state are we most likely to see the lemon mint. The article did not discuss its range. I have seen lemon mint in North Texas with fields of it (mixed with firewheels) at Palo Duro Canyon State Park in early May of last year.

Lemon mint can be found in most any area in Texas, given the right conditions.

I have found good blooms of lemon mint along RR 337 between Leakey and Medina and at the rest stop along I-37 near George West.

I highly recommend that you consider purchasing a wildflower identification book. I personally use three:

Wildflowers of the Texas Hill Country by Marshall Enquist (might be tough to find).

Texas Wildflowers by Campbell and Lynn Loughmiller

Wildflowers of Texas by Geyata Ajilvsgi.

I carry Ms. Ajilvsgi's book with me in the car, because it is color coded by color of the wildflower bloom. She also points out the zones where the wildflower can typically be found.

Also, if you are seeking a particular wildflower post a request in:

The status bar read "Error on Page" with a yellow triangle having an "!" in the middle.
