Ethan from Dallas filed a report to me via email. With Ethan's permission, I am posting an excerpt from his email report to me. The report covers the area near the Denison Dam, Denison, Texas.

"Here is what I saw, where there were trees or other some object to catch any rain there are mature bluebonnet plants.  For example the shots included are of some plants that are blooming that are on the guide wires of some power lines.  Everywhere else are seedlings that will never mature into full blown plants.  They will either die or bloom around the 4th of July.  I know this because the first year I tried to grow BBs I planted in the spring.  If there are plants that survived they are blooming or about to bloom now.  I am sure there are small seedlings all over but they wont become much.  It is very sad.  "
