Roadside wildflowers along US 79 just SW of Oakwood, Texas There are fields on both sides of the highway just covered with bright yellow blooms. To complete your photos there are several old farm buildings, fence rows bursting with multi-colored wildflowers and majestic trees covered in every shade of spring green. It’s worth the drive! US79 is busy so please be careful. There are nice wide shoulders to pull off the highway.
