This summer both www.wildflowerhaven.com and community.wildflowerhaven.com will be moved to new software.
This means there will be some disruption during this process. I apologize for the inconvenience, but the move is unavoidable due to changes in the web hosting company's ...

Re: Gay Feather sighting
Murry,
Thanks for the report. Are these along a busy highway or just a regular street?
I am wondering if parking somewhere close and walking would get me close up enough. This might be a good ''timely'' illustration for my presentation.
Can you give us the actual street and cross street location?
Thanks!

Re: I found a few bluebells today
Well, I am not a biologist, so I will have to bring my books to help me. I have seen some very strange plants in my travels like the spider lily, but I know there are some others out in East Texas like the floating ...

Re: The grasses have taken over Washington County
Hey Murry,
Thanks for the update! There are some cone flowers in your photos...and the field of Lemon mint (Lemon Bee Balm, acc. Enquist) is some of the largest displays I have seen of that wildflower. It kind of looks like wholly paperflower along the wooden fence. Did you get a closer shot of it?

Re: Coreopsis Rules Mason County
Thanks for the update Gary...
I almost took SH-71 home from Llano, but after having some lemonade and ice cream in Llano, the hot air outside convinced me to head straight home.
I think you would have enjoyed Art-Hedwigs and Hickory Grove roads.
Strangely, there are more basket flowers, Indian blankets, greenthread ...
